School-Age Programs

School-Age Services consist of services for students ages 5-years old to 21-years old.

The Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) provides Classroom Placement Services and Itinerant and Consultative Services, in collaboration with the member school districts and charter schools, through a contracting and referral process.  Additionally, the CAIU provides services to families, schools, and districts in the areas of aid to non-public schools and English as a Second Language.

Families that are interested in CAIU services for their school-aged child(ren) should contact their home school district for more information regarding the CAIU referral process.
