Request for Educational Record

The home school district is the Local Education Agency (LEA) for students between the ages of 5 and 21 who receive services from the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU). As a result, they are the primary point of contact for official educational records.

The CAIU maintains copies of educational records related to services students receive while enrolled in our program(s). To access your child’s educational records which are maintained by the CAIU, please submit your request via one of the options below:

All copies of records maintained by the CAIU,  in either hard copy or digital format, will be destroyed seven (7) years after a student’s ending date of service with the CAIU.
