Capital Area Pathways to Teaching (CAPT)

Capital Area Pathways to Teaching (CAPT) has job-embedded and employer funded options for school employees seeking teacher certification to earn associate's and bachelor's degrees in education, or post-baccalaureate teacher certification. This program seeks to remove barriers for paraprofessionals already working in schools to earn teacher certification and help local school districts address teacher staffing needs.

All-In is Executive Director Dr. Andria Saia’s monthly report to the Board of Directors, and includes articles written by Cabinet members on programs and initiatives in their departments, note-worthy events and happenings from our staff, information on new hires and retirees, compliments to CAIU staff on jobs well-done, and so much more! Each issue also features a column from Dr. Saia on ways the CAIU can #begreat while #changinglives and fostering a sense of dignity and belonging in all staff.

The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts aims to strengthen Pennsylvania's communities' cultural, educational, and economic vitality through the arts. The Capital Area Intermediate Unit is a Pennsylvania Partner and oversees this mission in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Lebanon counties.
