Psychiatric Evaluation
- Conducted by a Board Certified Child Psychiatrist upon referral from the educational team
- Provides diagnostic impressions of a student’s social, emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health needs
- Recommendations for educational services and mental health treatment appropriate to the student’s needs are provided and reviewed with the parents and educational team
- Information from the evaluation session and team discussion is documented in a written report, prepared by the psychiatrist
- Evaluations are performed at either the CAIU Summerdale Office building or on-site at a specified district location
