Students in the vision support classroom receive intensive instruction in the acquisition of literacy skills from a certified teacher of the visually impaired. Students participate in the age/grade-appropriate general curriculum for all subject areas, and in inclusive settings where practicable. Braille, large print, assistive technology and orientation and mobility services are provided to students in accordance with their individual needs. Dual medium instruction (Braille and print) is provided. Teachers use Nemeth code (Braille math) as appropriate.
