CAA Provides structured, adventure-based programs for schools, nonprofit groups, higher education institutions, businesses and community agencies. Programs include customized staff development, facilitator training, team building and education-based services.

Capital Area Online Learning Association
Capital Area Online Learning Association (CAOLA) is a collaborative effort between CAIU, member school districts and Intermediate Units to provide new learning options for our students. CAOLA’s web-based courses meet the increasing demand for high quality student instruction that incorporate proven online learning practices and next generation software. The key objectives of the program are to address unmet needs of students by increasing available learning options, meeting various learning modalities, connecting required learning to real-world applications and increasing available options for credit recovery, interventions, home bound, and alternative education.

Capital Area School for the Arts
The Capital Area School for the Arts (CASA) was founded in 2001 through a partnership between the Capital Area Intermediate Unit and Open Stage of Harrisburg. CASA offers intensive instruction in visual art, dance, music, theatre, and film and video to qualified high school students in the CAIU (over 150 students from 24 different high schools). Located in Strawberry Square (Third and Walnut Streets), in the heart of downtown Harrisburg, the school uses the city as its "classroom," affording its students access to the numerous resources located downtown and utilizing a yearly theme based on the urban environment.

Capital Region Partnership for Career Development
The PCD is a collaborative effort of the CAIU, its member districts/technical schools, community businesses, agencies and postsecondary partners. This Partnership works to build a system of K-12 career development, to connect students to postsecondary options, and to improve workforce and economic development in our region.
