Annual Salary and Benefits Survey

The CAIU gathers salary and benefit information from all of our school districts. This information includes professional experience, benefits, teacher and supplemental contracts, and administrative and classified support salaries. The surveys are compiled, analyzed, and then distributed to district superintendents annually. Contact Bev Cordier at bcordier@caiu.org for more information.

Guest Teacher Program

The Guest Teacher Program is sponsored by the CAIU and is offered two times per year at the CAIU Administration Offices in Summerdale. This three day training program was created to find qualified personnel to work as "guest (substitute) teachers" to replace regular classroom teachers while they are on professional or personal leave. Those who successfully complete the training, paperwork, and all required clearances will be qualified to substitute teach in any subject area in the participating public school districts. Participants in the program will be trained in classroom management, educational laws, the art of teaching, professionalism, and special education related issues. Applicants must present a Bachelor's Degree and have a willingness to assist students to learn in the role of a substitute teacher. Contact Bev Cordier at bcordier@caiu.org for more information.

Employees who do not require substitutes also report their absences through the Subfinder system. The CAIU provides Subfinder to several of its member school districts at a discounted rate.
