The Training and Consultation staff provides professional development and consultative services to administrators, consultants, teachers and parents in the areas of inclusive practices and least restrictive environment including:
- Building collaboration between general and special educators by exploring instructional options including CoTeaching, Differentiated Instruction, Learning Focused Schools Acceleration and Previewing, a three-tier model for intervention and best practices in the area of inclusion as defined through the PA Inclusive Practices Network.
- Support implementation of procedures outlined in the Gaskin Settlement, IDEA 2004, and Chapter 14 Regulations.
- Support in implementing the requirement from the Gaskin’s Settlement agreement.
- Provide services through ongoing series workshops, on-site modeling, coaching and consultation.
Fee:
No presenter fee is applied to services directly related to Training and Consultation initiatives. Refer to the the list of Professional Development topics provided by the staff at the CAIU for more information regarding fees.
