The Training and Consultation staff provides professional development and consultative services to support school teams with the implementation of research-based techniques and models including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), verbal behavior, and the Competent Learner Model (CLM) to develop and expand social cognition, self-regulation, and communication skills for students with autism. Services are designed to deepen teacher’s knowledge in strategies such as visual schedules, highly structured materials and directions, teaching sequence for simple facts, and sensory-specific activities to provide environmental, academic, and social supports to allow each student to access the curriculum and socialize with peers to the maximum extent possible. Services through ongoing series workshops, on-site modeling, coaching and follow-up consultation.

Fee:

A fee for professional development services is dependent upon the topic being presented. A list of both fee-based and no fee is available on the CAIU website or by request.
