The eStrategic Plan (eSP) tool is a web-based framework for district strategic planning. Developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) in contract with MGT of America, the eSP system allows districts to coordinate efforts of planning efforts across multiple reports. Districts are required to use the eSP tool to submit the following reports: Academic Standards and Assessment (Chapter 4), District Improvement, Educational Technology, Professional Education, Special Education, Student Services (Chapter 12), and Teacher Induction. In addition, Charter Schools must use the eSP tool to submit their Charter Annual Report.
eSP is one of several applications within PDE’s Education Hub.
CAIU holds the PDE contract for the state-wide support of eSP. State-wide support team members provide training and technical support to both IUs and districts across the Commonwealth as well as CAIU member districts. Support from the state-wide team focuses on access to and use of the tool, requirements for submission, regional and state-wide training, documentation, and technical assistance.
