For Substitutes

The Capital Area Intermediate Unit has signed on with Substitute Teacher Service (STS) to fulfill our substitute needs for the 2017/18 school year. The transition from S4T to STS will officially occur on July 1, 2017. If you have enjoyed subbing for the CAIU, we would certainly hope that you will continue providing your service to us. Below are two documents that detail the information STS will have to collect in order to transfer you into their system as well as some additional information about STS. We will also be hosting two sign on sessions at the CAIU, please see the Sub Welcome Packet document for additional details.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that we will also be increasing our daily rate to $88 for para-professionals and $115 for teacher substitutes effective for the 2017/18 school year.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Colleen Bushman at cbushman@caiu.org or STS during this transition process as we are dedicated in making this a smooth transition for all of our substitutes.
